These images were sent to me by Mark Heimback-Nielsen. They were obtained
from Fred Rice's estate (moving) sale. Fred Rice was an executive at Capitol
Records.
The images posted here were taken on Wednesday, December 16, 1970 in Pittsburgh, PA. The 35 B&W images are enlargements from a dusty contact sheet which also gave us clues as to when they were taken. The first 18 images show the Bugaloos promoting their Capitol Records album on the "Captain Jim Show" on WIIC TV Channel 11 Pittsburgh with Capt' Jim (Ted Eckman) and his ship the "Nancy B." This was a live local children's show, which Mark found out started at 7 AM. The next 5 images were taken when the members of the band were made Christmas Seal Ambassadors in a doctor's office. The last 16 images were taken during an autograph session at Kaufmann's Department Store in Pittsburgh, PA. The first four are color images that came from some extremely dirty and faded Polaroids that Mark has done his best to color correct.
